Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace
Prepare your lollipop molds by inserting the sticks and placing them on a flat, heat-safe surface.
Have all ingredients measured and ready before you begin. Candy moves quickly once it reaches temperature.
Step 2: Make the Candy Base
Combine the Hard Candy Mix and water in a heavy-bottom saucepan.
Stir until moistened.
Step 3: Cook to Hard Crack Stage
Attach your LorAnn Candy Thermometer to the side of the saucepan.
Cook over medium-high heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
Continue boiling without stirring until the thermometer reaches 300°F (149°C).
This is known as the hard crack stage and gives lollipops their signature crunch.
Step 4: Add the Flavor
Remove the saucepan from the heat.
Allow the bubbling to settle for approximately 20 seconds.
Carefully stir in 1 teaspoon LorAnn Black Cherry Super-Strength Flavor.
Mix gently until incorporated.
Step 5: Pour the Lollipops
Working quickly, pour the hot candy into prepared molds.
Tap the molds gently on the counter to release any air bubbles.
Step 6: Cool & Enjoy
Allow the lollipops to cool completely at room temperature.
Once hardened, remove from molds and enjoy.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry location for up to 2 weeks.
For gifting, individually wrap each lollipop to protect them from humidity.
